The Elena Torres Association for the Early Detection of Cancer broke another record last Saturday, raising 25,005 euros thanks to the donations of the 169 guests who attended the IV Charity Dinner at the Corso Restaurant, as well as the sale of tickets for the raffle held during the event and the donations made through ‘fila 0’. The event was hosted by the journalist Lara Álvarez and featured a special performance by the singer-songwriter Sofía Ellar, the singer Juan Peña, accompanied by Iván Doménech, and several dances by the Davinia Van Praag Dance Academy. The event began with a performance by the ball pagés de la Colla de Sa Bodega and was attended by well-known faces such as Susana Uribarri, a well-known representative of artists and celebrities; her daughter, Carlota Uribarri, who is following in her footsteps in the world of artistic representation; and Mariona Casas, a prominent influencer, who also actively participated in the tombola, which was led by Álvarez himself, the journalist Montse Monsalve and the director of the Corso restaurant, Nieves Bustamante.
100% of the money raised will go to the CSIC project for the early detection of breast cancer, funded by the Elena Torres Association and led by the researcher Priscila Monteiro Kosaka.
