Dr. Tamayo is interviewed in -chemistry world about work by R. McKendry with nanomechanical sensors to detect binding interactions between drugs and their targets. The researchers, based in the UK, Australia and Kenya, say their technique is sensitive enough to be used for high-throughput drug screening and could speed the development of new drug-resistant antibiotics. ?
